My kinda bf and I aren't talking and was wondering when will the pain subside?

I just had to end things because he was to neglectful and for awhile was doing fine but sometimes I feel a little empty like I miss him but I know that ending things was the best, I have known him for awhile and we both really like eachother but I don't have time to wait for him to change because I have given him so many chances and he keeps disappointing me
